You're right, they are making the memories that will stick with them.<br /><br />In fact, this week, I learned how to can. I made apple butter and apple sauce. The boys were so proud they helped pick all the apples at the orchard. They were gone with their father on Thursday, but when they came home to find the jars of applesauce lined up on the counter, my youngest son's eyes lit up as he exclaimed over having our "own" applesauce. <br /><br />We are going to actually do this as a homeschool project this year and really get into it.
