Here Comes 2010!

I am a HUGE New Year's goal/resolutions maker! I try to re-evaluate in January and at the beginning of the school year in August.

It is no surprise to y'all that I am a lover of lists! I love to start organizing all the Christmas gifts we received and I love to have the very unrealistic thoughts of being back in control after a hectic and crazy Holiday...

This week, I am going to be looking at my life, my family, and my home and seeing what improvements will make every day life a little smoother...

We have already came up with our family motto (broad resolution) which is...

Take better care of what we already have been given instead of thinking about what we want and do not have.

This is HUGE for our family! We always seem to be struggling with contentment and whinning about what we don't have instead of what we do! Hopefully this year, we will spend more energy thanking God for what we have and have less energy worrying about what we are lacking!

How about you? Is there some areas in your life that could use a little fine-tuning? Come on back here Thursday and I would love to share with you some of the ideas forming in our heads! If you are nosey like me and want to see what is going on in other people's home this week head on over to MomstheWord!

I am a list maker too and love new beginnings! Thanks for sharing your family mission statement and goal of contentment. I am surely inspired! Happy New Year!

Just followed you on twitter...your blog made me laugh. I so wish I was a list maker/list keeper/list crosser-offer! But I usually lose my list before I finish it! And I abhor resolutions because I never follow through (or I lose my list of possibilities! HA!)!

Happy New Year!

What a GREAT motto! That's a good one! And I'm a list maker too and I've already got my calendar ready to start the new year. Lists keep me together. I've got a few posts this week where I'm focusing on goals and plans for the New Year. =)

I'm with you! I love making lists and always have. In fact, sometimes I save them just for a laugh. Like, I have a to-do list that my oldest made when he was just a kid, lol!

Thank you for encouraging us to take better care of what we have and thanks for linking up today!
