Praise Him...

Praise Him. Praise Him all ye little children....

Lincoln was asleep, Andy and I were trying to wade through all the Christmas gift received and Dylan was looking for something to do so we were listening to a CD that Dylan and Lincoln received on Christms Morning called Veggie Tales: Here I Am to Worship. (If you haven't heard this CD, it is a must hear!)

Andy was organizing CDs in the back room and I was running around doing nothing but something (does that make sense to anyone else?) and Dylan was dancing and singing. It was so beautiful!

All of the sudden this song started playing.....

Dylan stopped singing and Dylan stopped dancing... He just sat on the couch with sweet, innocent tears running down his little cheeks.... He cried and he cried and he cried.....

Andy and I could not get him to calm down.

After much effort and much Mama holding, Dylan started pouring his heart out... He was sad because he wished Jesus would not have died. He wished that Jesus was right there next to him so that he could sing the song for Him and dance for Him. Dylan was crying "happy-sad" tears...

As a mother of a four year old, I had never thought there would be a chance (for a while) that I could be so moved by my son's faith. Today I was proven wrong... My four year old yearns to sing and dance for Jesus and he yearns to make Him proud.

Today I am proud of my son's child-like faith and I am proud to be his Mama...

2He called a little child and had him stand among them. 3And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. 4Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5"And whoever welcomes a little child like this in my name welcomes me. 6But if anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a large millstone hung around his neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Matthew 18:2-6

Beautiful! I know there have been times that my son has said something that just took my breath away - how wonderful that you were able to enjoy such a perfect moment with Dylan! Christopher and I often have conversations that keep me on the verge of tears...continue to enjoy those times. I am totally convinced that we are so hurried that too many of those opportunities to witness to our children in their vulnerable moments are wasted. YAY MOM for stepping up. Have a very happy new year! :)

Oh how precious! I am always amazed at the faith of children. They are such an example.

We have that VeggieTales CD. It's great! My 12 yr old son still listens to it.

Thanks for sharing!
Hope you and your family had a wonderful Christmas!

"Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it." Prov 22:6

Sounds like you're doing your job well, mama. Oh to have the precious faith of a child.
