Enough is Enough

Dylan and I were watching "It's a Big, Big World" a couple of weeks ago. The episode was about how having enough is enough and more is too much. Is it just me or does anyone else learn life lessons from simple children's shows?

After sitting and pondering this, I decided to begin the daunting task of cleaning out my clothes. Now let me be honest, the last time I cleaned out my clothes was....

 Hmm.... I'm thinking....

 Ummm...... I don't recall...

Still thinking....

Okay seriously I really don't remember.

I go through the boys clothes, it seems, on a monthly basis. But mine? Not so much!

Therefore, the thought was just overwhelming but I perservered! Here are some pictures just to give you an idea...

Here is my pile of clothes. I have so many clothes that these are the clothes that don't fit into my wardrobe or my two closets or my chest of drawers...(Side View)

Here is the pile from the front view...

Here is one side of my wardrobe after I cleaned everything out.

Here is the other side after cleaned out.

Here is the pile of clothes going to Good Will. Now just to give you an idea of how many clothes I had... I had 23 Aeropostale Hoodies that WERE NOT stained and 8 that WERE stained. That's just to give you and idea. That doesn't count regular hoodie or GAP hoodies...

Don't don't worry... This is what my bedroom looked like afterwards!

It felt so good that this week I am going to continue purging my house! I have enough and enough is enough. More is just too much!

How about you? Do you have a lot of clothes? Do you have too many things or as Dave Ramsey would say "stuffitis"? How do you purge your clothes? Do you rotate your clothes by seasons?

I think my room would look just like that if I dumped all my clothes out and started purging. I definitely need to just do it. Thank you for the encouragement!!

Your room is so cute, I love how it's coordinated!

Good for you for doing some purging. All my clothes fit in my closet and drawers. I have a friend that has 11 pairs of black pants she said, but I only have three (and one is capris). She loves clothes more than I do.

However, I do have a lot of stuff that I keep that I really need to go through. I try to go through closets and drawers twice a year but really only did it once this year.

Thanks for linking up today!

I'm guessing you like hoodies! ;)

I don't even want to think about how many clothes my husband and I have that we probably can't fit into and should just donate too. Like you, I'm pretty good at going through my daughter's stuff fairly regularly, but mine? Years!

That is a serious before and after. Good for you! I saw your cute glasses on another blog and came over for a visit!

Great purging! This is one area in which I'm actually lacking. My wardrobe is sad. It's just so much easier and more fun to buy clothes for the kids. I'm getting much better at NOT doing that though. :)

I've been purging for about three years. My secret? Now I actually have empty dresser drawers and extra space on my closet rods. You did a fabulous job and you should be super proud of yourself.
